United to Make Differences seeks to bring the community together by organising activities and events for those living in and around Leeds.
We are a Leeds-based Community Interest Company (CIC) working to create a fairer, more inclusive community. Our mission is simple: support those who are often left behind — including children, migrants, and families on low incomes — through activities that build confidence, skills, and belonging.
From football sessions and tutoring to language support and cultural integration, our programs are designed to help people grow, connect, and thrive. We focus especially on young people, providing them with safe, accessible spaces to learn and develop through sports, education, and social support.
We also partner with local organisations like Elland Accountancy Ltd to offer practical training, such as UK-based accounting skills for migrants with international experience — helping to open doors to new careers and financial independence.
Whether you’re looking to join a program, refer someone, volunteer, or donate — there’s a place for you here. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
By United to Make Difference CIC
At United to Make Difference, we believe leadership should come from those most impacted by injustice. Our Leadership and Power-Building in Migrant Communities programme empowers migrant women and youth to become strong advocates and leaders for social justice in their communities.
Migrant women face unique challenges, often in housing and legal matters. This programme helps them build the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to advocate for themselves and their communities. Through workshops, peer learning, and hands-on experience, women gain tools to:
Assert their rights and navigate housing and legal systems
Challenge and dismantle discriminatory systems
Lead grassroots advocacy efforts and create change
Build collective power with other women facing similar struggles
Migrant youth are often at the forefront of racial and immigration injustice but lack the support and resources to lead effectively. Our programme trains them in key areas such as:
Organising and mobilising communities for justice
Public speaking, media engagement, and confidence-building
Designing campaigns to challenge systemic racism and immigration injustice
We equip young people with the tools to not only raise their voices but to lead movements that will reshape the systems that affect their lives.
Join us in building a future where those most impacted by injustice lead the way.
For over ten years, we’ve been running football sessions that cater to two key groups: children from low-income families and older adults. While our sessions are fun and engaging—offering the thrill of friendly competition and the chance to emulate heroes on the field—our primary goal is to combat the rising risk of obesity in both young people and adults. Last year, the UK saw record-high levels of obesity, and it remains a significant public health challenge.
While diet and genetics are factors, a major contributor to the obesity crisis is the lack of physical activity. Today’s children are more likely to “play football” with their thumbs than with their feet, as video games and eSports become increasingly popular. However, no screen activity can compare to the physical and mental benefits of outdoor play and exercise. Our football sessions provide more than just a game—they promote long-term health, helping reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes, and related health issues.
